Mr Winters looked surprised.

“That is very brave of you Peter, Did your mother suggest that?

It was not in my nature to lie and I found myself looking at the floor.

“She Didn’t Did she? she said. “Well it does not matter” she continued.

 

Feeling unhappy with this situation I almost blurted out.

“Paul got spanked, and if the others were spanked then ill be the only one who wont be able to come round to play.

 

“Oh no,” Mrs Winters replied.  “This is not your fault Peter,

“But I am to blame as much as anyone else for the Broken window.” I said. “and I should be punished the same way as Paul.”
